The Goshen Agricultural Society proudly celebrates the 100th Goshen Fair.
This year’s celebration includes an Adult Spelling Bee, Barefoot Truth Concert, Fireworks, Hay Bale Toss Contest, Hypno Lorezo, Nail Driving Contest, Parade, Pie Eating Contest, Pumpkin Carving, Skillet Throw Contest and Vater’s Monster Truck Show.
The first fair dates back to September 5, 1910. The fair has been held each year since with the exception of two years, 1942 and 1943, during World War II and can trace its origins to the Labor Day horse races on a stretch of road we now know as Route 63 beside the fairgrounds. The races were organized by a group of Goshen residents in the years preceding 1910 and have since evolved from a single day of races to a three day Labor Day schedule of events. Come join the celebration as the Goshen Fair celebrates its 100th milestone.
